Sergio was introduced to squash at age 10 by his father in Mexico City. He quickly fell in love with the game and competed on the Mexican junior circuit, becoming a top 4 player. After a successful junior career, Sergio joined the Professional Squash Association, reaching a career high of 180 in the world. After sustaining an injury, he began to focus his squash knowledge on coaching juniors. Among these juniors was his sister Graciela, who he helped to achieve a #1 junior ranking in Mexico and become US open Jr champion. Sergio realized his passion for the sport and decided to move to the DC area to transfer his experience and energy into developing players. Sergio's approach to squash is to teach his students to give their all while having fun.
